Bogue Inlet Pier: the surf today is flat. This is another spot I’ll revisit when there’s some surf. America’s favorite spot and the crowd that surfs here will let you know it. There’s a decent wave on both sides of this well-maintained pier. At times with larger swells, the Pier may be your only shot at making it out on this end of the beach. The vibe w/the lead-chuckers is good w/Mike Stanley running the show and a bit more mutual respect between surfers and fishermen than years past. Ample parking that’s free out of season, bathrooms, Restaurant and the EI live web cam. Worth checking out.
