The Chantal swell is piling on the Onslow Bay buoy, weighing in at 9.8 ft wave height w/2’ of that groundswell. This is putting a head to overhead wave here in Emerald Isle. It doesn’t look like a fun paddle out w/4 feet of whitewater to punch through. I’d expect swell size to come up bigger as the storm approaches but conditions will remain unruly.
