Surf is knee or less and choppy. Today’s surf report is from Deer Horn Dunes. This is my check-down spot. It’s a pretty good indicator of where and what direction you need to be going to score waves, but the stretch between Deer Horn and Ocean Oaks can be firing, usually when nowhere else is. In the past Ocean Oaks and Deer Horn were the go-to spots especially if you knew the Starkes so you could park legally. Parking is still an issue but the Western Regional access is nearby. A lot of good surfers were spawned in this region.
